I walked in the old part of Manila before (Photo Gallery 49 & 50), and this time my destination is the new and modern part of Manila.
The Philippines are among the few countries where English in widely spoken. That was one of the reasons for the advantage of this nation in the early part of its history, which made Manila one of the leading capital in Southeast Asia after WWII. In recent years, the power of Manila is on decline, partly due to the autocracy of Marcos and the political instability afterwards.
The modernity and up-and-coming character of Manila is unchanged such as seen in computer freaks and gamers, suburban life and bistros. I focused on these aspect of Manila this time.
